Global GI Specialists Gather To Share Clinical Experiences

3/14/2003 - Yoqneam, Israel - Given Imaging Ltd. (NASDAQ: GIVN) announced today that gastrointestinal specialists from around the world will meet in Berlin, Germany from March 23rd - 25th to share their experience with capsule endoscopy and how it is changing clinical practice at the Second Capsule Endoscopy Conference. The European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE) has applied for CME accreditation (12 points), which has already been granted in Germany, and submitted to the United European Medical Specialists (UEMS) Organization for European and American CME issuance.

Scientific sessions will focus on specific disease states including inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease, obscure bleeding, small bowel pathology, small bowel neoplasia as well as on emerging areas such as pediatric use of capsule endoscopy. Participants will also be able to share experiences and ideas on how to improve examination and reviewing techniques. Over 90 abstracts and posters will be presented by 80 physicians from 23 countries around the world.
