• Given Imaging
  Creators of PillCam^TM Capsule Endoscopy. This advance in imaging allows the entire small intestine to be viewed. A camera in a capsule is swallowed. Images are transmitted to devices on a belt worn around the waist. Some localization of polyps is possible. This is not recommended for viewing the stomach and large intestine due to their large areas.
   

• Fujinon
  Creators of Double Balloon Endoscopy^TM system that allows a scope to access all or nearly all of the small intestine without surgery. The scope allows for viewing and removal of polyps. This may replace surgical intervention for some patients. Contact Fujinon for information on availability of the procedure in your area.
   
• The DAVE Project—Gastroenterology
  Dr. H. Yamamoto presents a short video of three procedures done with double balloon endoscopy. The three procedures are: endoscopic hemostatis, balloon dilation of a stricture, and snare polypectomy. The video is dated February 2006.

• Visicol®
  Bowel prep consisting of large tablets to be taken with clear liquids. Tablets are tasteless. FDA approved product of Salix Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
